Terms of Service

Last updated: April 17, 2026

By accessing or using HexMath (formerly MathBuddy), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.

Use of Service

HexMath provides a math solving service. You may use the service for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the service to violate any academic integrity policies
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models
  • Use automated scripts to submit excessive requests
  • Redistribute solutions for commercial purposes

Accounts

You may use HexMath without an account (limited free tier). Creating an account via Apple or Google sign-in enables subscription features and cross-device functionality. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.

Subscriptions and Payments

HexMath Pro is available as a monthly ($3.99/month) subscription. Subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

  • Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your App Store or Google Play account settings
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods
  • Price changes will be communicated in advance

Free Tier

The free tier provides 1 solve per day without an account, or 3 questions per day with a free account (Apple or Google sign-in) — covering new problems and follow-up questions alike — both with full step-by-step solutions. Free tier limits may change at any time.

Fair Use

HexMath Pro includes unlimited solves and follow-up questions for normal personal study use. “Unlimited” is subject to fair use: automated, scripted, bulk, or otherwise abusive usage may be rate-limited or suspended. We may apply a high daily ceiling as a safeguard; ordinary studying will never reach it.

Accuracy

HexMath uses AI to generate solutions. While we strive for high accuracy, solutions may contain errors. HexMath is a study aid, not a substitute for understanding. Always verify important calculations independently.

Intellectual Property

HexMath, its logo, design, and underlying technology are the property of HexMath. Solutions generated by the service are provided for your personal use.

Limitation of Liability

HexMath is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of incorrect solutions, service interruptions, or data loss. Use of the service is at your own risk.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to HexMath at any time for violation of these terms or abuse of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
